Varsity Equestrian Team Members Qualify for Zone 11 Finals

Four George School Varsity Equestrian team members—Olivia Garrett ’23, Meadow Gober ’25, Sevde Guleryuz ’23, and Nicole McCleskey ’25—will conpete at the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Zone 11 Finals on the weekend of March 19-20, 2022, at Gloucester County Dream Park.

Jeffrey Love ’19 Selected for NCAA Division III 5000 Meter Championship

Jeffrey Love ’19 qualified for the 2022 Indoor NCAA Division III Championships for the second time in his collegiate career at Connecticut College and will race in the 5,000-meter run. Jeffrey posted a career-best mark of 14:27.74 in the 5,000 at the Tufts final qualifying meet in Medford, Massachusetts on March 5, 2022.

Varsity Girls’ Basketball Celebrates a PAISAA Championship Win

The varsity girls’ basketball team, seeded #3 in the Pennsylvania State Independent Schools Athletics Association (PAISAA), won their first game in the Commonwealth Cup Championship on Tuesday, February 22. The next game for the team at “States” is at home on Thursday, February 24 at 5:00 p.m.

Lexi Muller ’23 Sets New Swimming Records

Lexi Muller ‘23 helped set two George School athletic records in the varsity girls’ swim team victory over Friends Select School on December 16, 2021. Lexi set an individual record in the girls’ 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.92 beating the previous record of 26.21 seconds.

Bryce Flowers ’24 named All-State Soccer Player

Boys’ varsity soccer player Bryce Flowers ’24 was the unanimous pick for All-League & All-State honors by the Friends Schools League (FSL) coaches. Bryce scored twenty-two goals—the most of any FSL player this season. Players are selected in recognition of their outstanding performance.

Boys’ Varsity Basketball Shooting for the Top

While it may be their “off-season” the George School boys’ varsity basketball team is certainly not taking any time off. “We have a group of kids who are committed to learning each day and they bring out the best in me,” said Head Coach Ben Luber. “They love the game, hate to lose and are all high character students that represent George School in a first-class manner.”
