George School Celebrates Virtual Alumni Weekend 2021

Over 600 alumni registered for Alumni Weekend 2021 from Thursday, April 29 – Sunday, May 2. This year’s event featured four days of virtual events and activities for classmates to reconnect and reminisce about their cherished George School memories.

Reading Olympics Team Earns Blue Ribbon

George School students earned a first place ranking and a Blue Ribbon in this year’s Reading Olympics. Throughout this year, George School students worked together to read as many books as they could from a book list that was prepared by teachers and librarians from schools across Bucks County.

Community Says Goodbye to Marion the Librarian

George School has had the honor of having a knowledgeable and skilled research librarian centered in the academic life of the school since 2014. Throughout her years of service, Marion helped maintain a collection of resources that serve the changing needs of George School’s academic program, while also overseeing and participating in all aspects of the school archives.

George School Celebrates Lunar New Year

A special Lunar New Year celebration took place on Thursday, February 11, 2021 in Main Lobby. Lunar New Year is the festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional Chinese calendar.

Shantel Hubert presents a Langston Hughes Tribute

English faculty, Shantel Hubert, is presenting, The Intersection Between the Veiled and the Masked: A Tribute to Langston Hughes, a virtual program held on February 21 through the Michener Museum in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.

Eddie Glaude Featured at Virtual Roundtable Discussion

The George School community will host a virtual watch party and roundtable discussion about the call to arms for diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice in independent schools presented by Dr. Eddie S. Glaude, Jr. on Thursday, December 17 at 6:20 p.m.

A Virtual Look: Visual Arts Faculty Exhibition

Members of the George School community are invited to view a new virtual art exhibit featuring work from members of the visual arts faculty. The exhibit will remain on display through Friday, February 12, 2021. A virtual gallery talk and reception is planned for Friday, January 29, 2021.
