Students in Advanced Painting and Drawing completed a unique project currently on display in Main Lobby. “In these drawings, students were asked to combine two photographs to create a unique composition,” said teacher Jō Adachi. “They were then instructed to complete large-scale charcoal drawings from the image source.”

“We were asked to pick multiple objects for this project,” said Sam Lentsmith ’20. “I used my own face as a reference and contrasted with a dark background and light. I’m really happy with the finished product.”

The artwork will be on display in Main Lobby through January 26, 2018. Everyone is encouraged to stop by.
