Dates of Employment

George School Day Camp runs for just eight exciting weeks—39 days filled with fun and adventure! Because our season is short, every team member plays an important role in making camp successful.

To help us plan ahead, please submit any vacation requests by May 15. This ensures we can schedule appropriately and maintain the best experience for our campers.

Before camp begins, there will be two paid mandatory training days. These sessions are essential for preparing you for your role, meeting your team, and learning what makes our camp special. Training dates and times will be included in your contract.

We understand that unexpected things happen, but because the season is limited, employees will not be paid for missed days. If you’re unable to attend work, communication is key. Please notify the camp office as soon as possible so we can adjust plans and keep camp running smoothly.

Your commitment helps create unforgettable summers for our campers…and for you!

 Hours of Operation:

Camp staff are expected to arrive at work by 8:30 a.m. and stay until 4:00 p.m. We also have a limited number of part-time positions.

What our staff is saying:

What I love about GSDC is the relationships you build with not just the campers, but the counselors too. GSDC creates a great environment for summer fun and meaningful connections, and I cannot wait to return as a counselor next year!"
