George School Day Camp is an equal opportunity employer. We look for individuals who show an interest and ability in working with children and who know how to work as part of a team.

Each hired member of the staff must complete the required child abuse clearance and police background checks.

All employees under the age of eighteen must have working papers from the school district in which they live.

All employees must follow the guidelines of George School Day Camp as well as the George School campus rules.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old with reliable transportation.

Dates of Employment

Since George School day camp is only in operation for eight weeks (thirty-eight working days), we require that all vacation plans be submitted no later than May 31 so that we can adequately plan/staff the summer. There will be at least two paid mandatory pre-camp training days that everyone must attend. These training sessions are very important and help you learn the expectations associated with your position. Dates and times will be established and included in your employee contracts.

Because the camp season is limited, employees will not be paid for missed days. We require camp employees to call the camp office if you are unable to attend work.

Hours of Operation

Camp staff are expected to arrive at work by 8:30 a.m. and stay until 4:00 p.m.

We also have a limited number of part-time positions.
