Activity/Adventure Leaders plan, organize and implement daily camp activities within their designated area and deliver progressive adventure challenge activities that are safe, fun, and age appropriate. They provide support during camp-wide activities as well as supervise junior staff. They should serve as a positive role model during instruction and engage all campers and counselors in the activity. The Aquatics Director is responsible for ensuring that high quality swim education programs are executed throughout the summer. The Aquatics Director manages the aquatics staff and ensures that all swimming and camp water activities are safe.

The Art Instructor is responsible for the development of an age-appropriate arts and crafts program. He/she must be able to design and deliver arts and crafts activities that make use of different art mediums as well as the camp’s natural environment. The Camp Administrative Assistant reports to the Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director and oversees the day-to-day operations of the camp office. They assist with all aspects of communication for camp, including but not limited to, answering all camp phone calls and responding to email inquiries from both current and prospective camp families. The Camp Administrative Assistant assists with the creation of the weekly camp newsletter, ordering camp supplies, assisting the Camp Director with staff trainings, and other duties as needed. Division Leaders are responsible for the day-to-day operation of multiple camp groups and are involved in the direct supervision of senior counselors within their division.  They are expected to serve as role models for their division and for the camp as a whole.  Division Leaders actively participate in all camp orientation and training sessions. The Drama Instructor will further the camp’s mission through the development and the delivery of drama, dance, and singing activities that are both safe and fun. Campers should enjoy the experience but also learn about themselves and discover they can present themselves differently to others through the acts of singing, dancing, and acting. General Counselors work closely with group leaders in the supervision, planning, and implementation of camp activities. General Counselors are the primary caregivers for the campers. He/she ensures campers are properly supervised at all times and is aware of, and implements, safety guidelines.  General Counselors actively participate in all camp orientation and training sessions. Head Counselors work closely with the camp directors to coordinate and organize the camp program, including daily activities and special events.  They also assist camp directors with the planning and implementation of certain aspects of staff training.  Head Counselors are responsible for the supervision of their campers as well as support staff.  They transition with their group through the daily activities. Head Counselors should strive to build and nurture a sense of community and understanding among all staff members. They serve as a supervisor, but also as a support to camp staff. The role of the Nature Instructor is to further the camp's mission through the development and delivery of nature or environmental activities that are safe, fun, and age appropriate. The primary responsibility of the camp nurse is to provide professional nursing care to all campers. The nurse is responsible for maintaining up-to-date medical records, recording condition and treatment, including administration of medications, for all campers who present themselves to the nurse’s office during camp. He/she will immediately inform the Camp Director and/or Assistant Camp Director in the event of a medical emergency or potentially serious health related situation. George School Day Camp employs lifeguards to oversee the safety of all campers and camp staff in the aquatics facility.  Lifeguards must be able to perform first aid and emergency care when required.  Lifeguards need to be able to work as a team, will help the WSI Instructor facilitate swim lessons, and are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the pool area.
