The George School varsity boys’ basketball team scored a resounding win in their first game of the season, defeating Girard College 62-39 on Wednesday, December 4, 2019. “Seven Cougars took part in the scoring frenzy,” reported The Intelligencer.

The Cougars jumped out to a big lead, fueled by their defense and went into halftime with a 30-12 lead. “The team came out strong in the second half as well,” said Head Coach Ben Luber. “They built their lead to 30 points before coasting to a victory over a very scrappy Girard College team.”
