Recognizing the increasing need for individuals to appreciate and understand the contributions of cultures and ideologies different from their own, George School offers comprehensive language programs in Chinese, French, Latin, and Spanish. Teachers are all native speakers or have a native-like command of the language they teach.
Courses listed in the prerequisites refer to courses taken at George School. Students who have studied language elsewhere must take a placement test to demonstrate proficiency.
The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival (PSF) launches its inaugural “Play On!” community touring program with Shakespeare’s classic comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream this summer, and they are coming to George School!
Guests are invited to campus on Sunday, June 11 at 4:00 p.m. for the performance in the William Penn Outdoor Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public. Bring your own chair and blanket, and enjoy the show outside to kick off your summer!

Parents/Guardians: Please join the Parent and Guardian Association (PGA) for dinner in the dining hall at 5:30 p.m. before its final meeting of the school year on Monday, April 17. The meeting will be from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the MDA Library Conference Room. Those unable to attend in person may join virtually via Zoom. The meeting link is on the Parent Portal.
