George School’s annual fall Open House took place on Sunday, October 28, 2018, and hundreds of students and family members showed up to explore campus and meet teachers, coaches, and current students.
“This year we saw record numbers with over seven hundred and twenty visitors registered,” said Rohan Arjun ’05 director of Admission. “Campus was buzzing with energy from current students, parents, faculty, and staff wearing their ambassador hats to answer prospective families’ questions, help them navigate campus, and imagine the possibilities at George School.”
Head of School Sam Houser spoke to attendees in Walton Auditorium saying, “as a Friends School, we prize the many expressions of humanity in our students. We know that you are all different. That all of you have something distinctly your own of value and meaning. We want you to share that with our community because we know that what you have to offer, each of you, makes us an excellent school. We want to help you cultivate that seed of what is truly unique about you, that way you think about a problem, your creativity, your distinct identity.”
“As visiting families departed campus, their comments and smiles said it all. They had a chance to experience what makes George School so special and they loved it,” said Rohan.
