Fifteen Students Named to FLS All-League Teams

Fifteen George School student-athletes representing boys’ cross country, girls’ cross country, field hockey, boys’ soccer, and girls’ soccer were named to the Friends Schools League roster of fall 2018 all-league teams.

Fifteen George School student-athletes representing boys’ cross country, girls’ cross country, field hockey, boys’ soccer, and girls’ soccer were named to the Friends Schools League’s (FSL) roster of fall 2018 all-league teams.

Jeffrey Love ’19 and Walter Owino Wagude ’20 were named to the All-League Team for boys’ cross country. Arran Goldman ’21, Katerina Rychia ’20, and Jess Sturgis ’22 received an honorable mention to the girls’ cross country team.

Vanessa Baker ’19, Mallory Fritsch ’19, Sanaa Hebron ’22, and Eva Kinnel ’20 were named to the All-League team for field hockey. Cosima Janssen ’20 received an honorable mention.

Jordan Valdepenas-Mellor ’19 was name to the All-League Team for boys’ soccer and Eric Yu ’19 received an honorable mention.

Ella Davidock ’21 and Nora Greer ’19 were named to the All-League Team for girls’ soccer. Alex Long ’20 received an honorable mention.

A coeducational high school athletic league made up of nine Philadelphia-area independent schools, the Friends Schools League is founded on Quaker principles and fosters respectful behavior and good sportsmanship on the playing field.
