The varsity boys’ lacrosse team defeated Perkiomen 15-4 on Thursday, April 18, 2019. The team was strong defensively, allowing only four goals. Cesar Arreguin ’20 tallied six saves in goal before leaving the game in the second quarter.

The team’s offense was prolific. Andrew Arth ’19 led the scoring with eight goals. Nick Harris ’19, William O’Connor ’22, Nick Palladino ’19, Cornelius Durner ’21, and Ryan Tufford ’20 also contributed goals.

“The offense also had a number of assists, showing that the Cougars work well as a team,” said Spencer Fetrow, co-head coach. “Nick Harris led the team with three assists. Andrew, Nick Palladino, Cornelius, and Ryan earned assists as well.”

“We’re trying to help build the program back up,” said Andrew. “We only have three seniors on the team and the rest of the team is pretty young. We want to do whatever we can to help the younger guys as much as we can.”

“It feels good to get our first win,” said Nick. “We lost a lot of guys to graduation last year and the younger guys want to learn and they want to get better.”

The Cougars play their last home game against Academy of the New Church during Alumni Weekend on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 4:00 p.m.
