On Tuesday, February 13 George School hosted representatives from nearly fifty local businesses for the Newtown Business Association’s monthly networking event. The event took place in the school’s McFeely building, home of the school’s History Department. McFeely is also the new permanent home to the John Foster Newtown mural collection. This is the first time George School hosted this type of event.

When addressing the group, Head of School Sam Houser made note of George School’s impact on Newtown’s business economy, saying “George School is one of the larger employers in Newtown, with over three hundred full and part-time employees.” He continued, “Our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and parents shop and dine in Newtown and we encourage them to get to know you, just as we hope you will come to know us.”
