Classes for the 2018–2019 school year will officially begin on Monday, September 3, 2018, but many students are returning to campus early. Students attending the Academic Summer Program are busy enhancing their minds and preparing for a successful academic year at George School. They will soon be joined by students attending International Student Orientation (ISO), preseason athletic programs, and leadership orientation and training.
The Academic Summer Program, which began on Monday, August 13, brings a selection of new freshmen to campus for a week of academic enrichment and preparation. Session two will begin on Monday, August 27.
Preseason athletes will report to camp beginning on Monday, August 20, partaking in group exercise, team practice, and scrimmages. Preseason camp is for varsity athletes invited by their coach.
ISO mentors will return to campus on Thursday, August 23. ISO begins on Friday, August 24.
Senior peer leaders, prefects, members of SAGE, and the Student Council Executive Board will arrive on Tuesday, August 28, Wednesday, August 29, and Friday, August 31.
All new students will register on Saturday, September 1 in the Mollie Dodd Anderson Library. Returning boarding students will register on Sunday, September 2. Returning day students will register on the first day of school.
