George School to Celebrate 124th Commencement

On Sunday, May 27, 2018 George School will celebrate the members of the Class of 2018 during the school’s one hundred and twenty-fourth commencement ceremony. Due to the weather, today’s Commencement Ceremony will be held inside the Fitness and Athletics Center at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch in the Multi-Purpose Gym. There is no ticket limit. We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2018.

The ceremony will feature performances and speeches by several members of the Class of 2018. Sophia Stio ’18 will deliver the invocation titled Human Family by Maya Angelou. Tianyi Ma ’18 will perform Fly Me to the Moon, Will Street ’18 will present a speech titled Tending the Light, Michael Lazzaro ’18 will perform Romance for Oboe and Piano, Jason Chien ’18 will give a speech titled All for Love, and Will Vamos ’18 will perform Yesterday by Paul McCartney. During the recessional Maia Finkel ’18 and Cynthia Menna ’18 will perform Carole King’s You’ve Got a Friend.

A live stream of the ceremony will be available.

Commencement Meeting for Worship will take place on Saturday, May 26, in the meetinghouse at 4:30 p.m. Families are invited to join.
