Beginning Sunday, September 24, 2017 George School will host a five-week running series for kids. There will be races for children ages two through five and students in grades kindergarten through eight. “This is an effort to bring more local families to our amazing campus,” said Mike Toomey, George School’s head track and cross country coach.

Each race takes place once a week and offers age appropriate running events including a fifty and seventy-five yard dash and a quarter, half, and one mile run. Children compete each week for a chance to earn points. Prizes will be awarded to the top point earners in each division at the end of the program. “But, it doesn’t matter how fast you run because all participants receive a medal and gift bag for their achievements,” said Mike.

There is a $35.00 non-refundable registration fee that covers the entire cost of the program. All children that participate will receive a t-shirt. The program runs through Sunday, October 22, 2017. Races begin at 4:00 p.m. behind the George School Meetinghouse.
