This fall, Maxine (Xina) Graham-Vannais ’11 and her father David Graham will present Here, There, and Back, a photography exhibit in the Class of 1956 Gallery in the Mollie Dodd Anderson Library.
Xina has spent the past two years in London studying at Goldsmiths, University of London expanding her practice to incorporate textiles and sound work. She recently completed her Masters of Fine Art and is continuing to live and work in London.
“I am a photographer in love with the world around me,” said David. “I use photography to visually embrace what I see. On a good day, I want my photographs to be a complex weave of image, symbol, and reality. It is not so easy.”
Here, There, and Back will be on display September 1 through November 8, 2018. The gallery is open Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A gallery talk and reception will take place on Thursday, October 25 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
