Collage of 6 students on their college campuses

As we start our new school year at George School, our Class of 2025 graduates begin their first days of classes at colleges and universities in the United States and around the world.

Some of our students have shared what they’ve brought with them from George School as they embark on the next chapter in their academic journey. We wish them the best of luck in their new adventures!

Sanjana Gollamudi

University of Washington, Seattle, Washington

“My time at GS has provided me with valuable lessons that have guided me through life after graduation. Most notably, it has shown me the value of immersing myself in community life while simultaneously building a foundation of independence and responsibility.”

Dallan Reimels

Currently spending a semester in Washington, D.C., through Cornell University

“George School taught me to carry my values through life in any environment I find myself in. As I study politics and pursue professional opportunities, I have a sense of responsibility to make the communities I inhabit stronger and more resilient to the changing social climates.”

“I came to Pitt knowing I could handle challenges because George School taught me how to handle tough classes and how to find my community. Going from a small, close-knit community to a big campus like Pitt, it’s easy to feel lost, but I learned from GS how to seek out spaces and people that align with my values. Whether it’s through clubs, study groups or connecting with classmates in smaller settings, I feel ready to build my community here.”

Halaylah Lewis-McGlothan

Princeton University, Princeton, New Jersey

“I brought my love of learning and my love for the outdoors with me to college! At George School, I learned both how to learn and where I study best. Just like I loved to study in nature at GS, I am studying outside in the courtyards at Princeton!”

Luke Linden

Boston College, Boston

“I brought the spirit of the friendships I made with me to Boston, and I carry the passions that George School helped me find!”

Cecilia Li

University of California, Berkeley, California

“George School has taught me how to appreciate myself and see my own worth. I am able to focus on school and have a clear goal because the Quaker values of George School have taught me to be simple, caring and honest.”

Conner Jennings

Sarah Lawrence College, Bronxville, New York

“One of the greatest lessons George School taught me is that everyone in your life, regardless of how apparent they are in it, shapes you into the character you want to be in the future. This, in return, helped me learn how to express gratitude to those all around me because, in the end, everyone matters.”

Trinity Hughes-Crawford

Tufts University, Boston

“What I brought from George School to Tufts is the ability to ask for help. Reaching out for help does not make you any less of a person. Not knowing everything is perfectly fine; it enables you to listen and learn from others.”

Peter Tang

University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida

“The lesson I learned at George School that I will keep with me is to never stop being your full authentic self, and never forget to let your life speak!”
