Transportation
Boarding Students
George School campus is closed during school breaks. Students must plan to reside off-campus during the following dates:
- Fall break: November 21 - November 29, 2026
- Winter break: December 19 - January 4, 2027
- Spring break: March 13 - 22, 2027
Leaving campus: The final day of each term is a class day with a modified schedule; classes end at 1:30 p.m. students should plan to leave campus following their last obligation. Absences due to travel arrangements are considered unexcused.
Returning to campus: Campus reopens the day before classes resume; all boarding students are expected to return to campus by 7:00 p.m.
➡️ A note for international families: Because international flights are less frequent, international students traveling internationally may be permitted to leave campus one day later and/or return to campus one day earlier than required. Please contact the Office of Student Life at deans@georgeschool.org to request this permission.

Day Students
The following transportation options are available for day students.
Bus Transportation Provided by Pennsylvania School Districts
The following local school districts provide bus transportation for George School day students. Families are required to contact their local school districts to arrange bus transportation and will be asked to provide proof of residence.
Families that know they will be using bus transportation are encouraged to reach out to their school districts as soon as possible so we can file paperwork accordingly for the 2026-2027 school year.
If you need further assistance, please email the Office of Student Life Administrative Coordinator Laurie Moyer or call 215.579.6593.
- Bensalem School District
- Bristol Township School District
- Centennial School District
- Central Bucks School District
- Council Rock School District
- Neshaminy School District
- New Hope-Solebury School District
- Pennsbury School District
Students will be picked up from their local bus stop and dropped off at their home high school. Once all George School students have arrived to that home high school, they will board another bus to be taken to George School’s campus. At the end of the day, students will be picked up from George School at 5:45 p.m. from the Fitness and Athletics Center (FAC) parking lot. This allows time for afternoon activities. They are then dropped off at their local bus stops.
New Jersey Van Service
Based on interest, George School is pleased to offer daily transportation for students commuting from the Lawrenceville, Pennington, Princeton, Skillman, and West Windsor areas of New Jersey for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Exact routes and pick-up and drop-off points will be determined prior to the start of the academic year based upon students’ addresses and the number of riders.
Morning vans will deliver students to campus in time for the start of classes at 8:15 a.m. Evening vans will depart George School at 6:30 p.m. Evening departure time is subject to change depending on the preferences of van riders in a given year.
Families who sign up for this service are committing to the full year’s expense. Our ability to operate this service depends on meeting a minimum number of students. We reserve the right to cancel or modify the program as needed.
For questions regarding van transportation, please email Deb Soufleris.
