Jeffrey Love ’19 took first in the Friends Schools League varsity cross country championships on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. He ran the 3.1-mile course at Belmont Plateau Trails Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, finishing with a time of 16:30:03.

This will mark Jeffrey’s third invitational win this year. He also won the George School Invitational on September 16, 2017, finishing the race in 16:33 and took first place in Bristol’s Mill Street Run, setting a school record of 15:33.

Jeffrey said he was especially glad to get a chance to run on the Belmont course. “It’s the same course we run on at the States. I needed to get a feel for it and see how fast I can run.”

The Pennsylvania Independent Schools Cross Country State Championships are scheduled for October 28, 2017.
