Kaliyah Myricks ’21 Signs With Georgetown

Girls’ Basketball Co-Captain, Kaliyah Myricks ’21, signed a National Letter of Intent committing to play basketball at Big East Division I powerhouse Georgetown University on Wednesday, November 11, in the Fitness and Athletics Center.

Kaliyah is the first George School student to receive a women’s basketball Division I scholarship offer, and second to receive a women’s basketball scholarship in George School history.

In addition to Georgetown, Boston College, Houston University, Temple University, and the University of Pennsylvania all showed an interest in Kaliyah. “I chose Georgetown because it felt like a perfect fit to me. From the academics, to the distance from my home, it was everything I was looking for. But, ultimately it was the coaching staff that won me over. They are so genuine, and I definitely saw myself spending the next four years with them,” said Kaliyah.

Congratulations, Kaliyah!
