Lexi Muller ’23 Sets New Swimming Records

Lexi Muller ‘23 helped set two George School athletic records in the varsity girls’ swim team victory over Friends Select School on December 16, 2021.

Lexi set an individual record in the girls’ 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.92 beating the previous record of 26.21 seconds.

“It was of no surprise to me to see Lexi set a new school record,” said Assistant Coach Ginna Lewing. “She is the definition of hard work and commitment. Lexi has spent years working and sacrificing to be the best swimmer she can be and absolutely deserves every accolade and achievement that comes her way.”

Lexi also helped teammates Freya Mottershead ’25, Megan Garrabrant ’24, and Kylie Perry ’23 set the new school record for the girls’ 200-medley team with a time of 1:57.62. The previous record, set in 2017, was 2:01.44.

Both the boys’ and girls’ teams were victorious versus Friends Select. The boys’ team won 99-40, and the girls’ won with a score of 90-56.

Next up, both teams will welcome Moorestown Friends on January 11, 2022.
