Members of the Class of 1961 Show Support for Embrace the World

Embrace the World will take place during Parents Weekend on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the FAC.

The Class of 1961, guided by the leadership of Institutional Advancement Committee member, Dick Brown ’61, has come together to support the school’s upcoming event, Embrace the World, with a $10,000 entertainment sponsorship. Embrace the World is a dinner, dance, and auction, happening on October 20, 2018 to support tuition assistance and faculty development.

“This says so much about the class, as well as the school,” said Trustee Toni Yonce p. ’09. “We could not be happier to have the support of the Class of 1961.”

The Class of 1961 has a long tradition of generously supporting George School. Thanks to their efforts during their 50th reunion, George School was able to build additional on campus faculty housing and build a scholarship fund.

Tickets are now on sale for Embrace the World. Auction items include tickets to Hamilton on Broadway, a vacation to Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica, a three-month membership to the Newtown Athletics Center, and flying lessons with a licensed flight instructor.
