Michael Stricks ’83 joined Divorce for Season 2 as the co-executive producer. Divorce is a HBO original series that follows Frances (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Robert Dufresne (Thomas Haden Church), a couple living in the picturesque New York City suburb of Hastings-on-Hudson as they go through a tumultuous divorce.
“There is nothing final about divorce,” said Jenny Bicks, the new showrunner for Season 2. “Even as you have a relationship coming apart, whether you’re married or you’re breaking up with someone [you’ve] been dating, there’s still always potential for something new.”
Also new on the set for Season 2 was an Eco Production Assistant who was responsible for implementing environmental sustainability initiatives.
“Divorce was excited to partner with the New York City Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment’s NYC Film Green program,” said Michael. “HBO was looking to establish some energy-saving, sustainable practices on our productions through HBO’s Community Impact Program.”
NYC Film Green is a voluntary program that recognizes productions for their engagement in environmentally-conscious practices.
Michael’s career as a producer includes work on many TV series including Daredevil, The Following, and Bored to Death.
