Arts Faculty Talent Highlighted During Embrace the World
George School’s Embrace the World celebration, a dinner, dance, and auction happening on Saturday, October 20 at 6:00 p.m., is just around the corner. The event celebrates George School’s 125th anniversary. Many of George School’s talented arts faculty members have donated their time to craft original items for the auction. Read more.
Rishi Madnani ’19 Named National Merit Semifinalist
George School is pleased to congratulate Rishi Madnani ’19 on being named a national merit semifinalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Rishi is one of 16,000 semifinalists throughout the country. He now qualifies for one of 7,500 national merit scholarships that will be offered in the spring. Read more.
A Window into Professional Ceramics
In May 2018, Claire Schmucker ’20 and ceramics teacher Amedeo Salamoni attended a hands-on workshop with master ceramic sculptor Marc Leuthold. Held at the studio of world-renowned ceramic sculptor Peter Callas in Belvidere, New Jersey, the workshop was an eight-hour experience in which participants each made six ceramics pieces. Read more.
Sam Houser Named to Friends Council Board
George School is pleased to announce that Head of School Sam Houser has been appointed to the Friends Council on Education board. Friends Council on Education is the only national association of Quaker schools in our country. The organization plays a vital role for heads of schools, administrators, and teachers working in Quaker schools today. Read more.
Commemorative Issue of Georgian Available Online
The Fall 2018 issue of the Georgian, a special edition celebrating the 125th anniversary of George School, is now available online. It is a compendium of photos, stories, and memories generously shared by our alumni and pulled from our archives. This anniversary edition is designed as a companion to two earlier books that tell the story of George School. Read more.

Parents/Guardians: Please join the Parent and Guardian Association (PGA) for dinner in the dining hall at 5:30 p.m. before its final meeting of the school year on Monday, April 17. The meeting will be from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the MDA Library Conference Room. Those unable to attend in person may join virtually via Zoom.
