Congratulations Class of 2019! Congratulations to all of the George School seniors who will be graduating this weekend! We are looking forward to welcoming community members to campus to celebrate this exciting milestone together. Day Student Pick-Up Information. On Friday, May 24 parents of day students will be asked to pick their child up in either the Fitness and Athletics Center (FAC) parking lot or Marshall lot. Access to Drayton Circle will be closed due to the Senior Dinner Dance.
Student Weekend Activities. Students will be getting dressed up for the Senior Dinner Dance on Friday night. There will also be on-campus activities to enjoy such as a movie screening in Walton, a celebration on Red Square, yearbook signing, and more. Full schedule.
Looking Ahead to Summer. All boarding students’ travel plans are due in the Deans’ Office as soon as possible. Students should submit their travel plans through REACH. Follett Book Buy-Back. If students would like to sell their textbooks back to Follett or return their Follett rental books, there will be a textbook buy-back conducted by Follett in Marshall on Thursday, June 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The online textbook buy-back website is also available for any student to use if they are unavailable during the book buy-back event.
Calling All Bakers! The last Parents Association cookie drop will be on Thursday, May 30. Cookies should be bagged and sealed with three cookies per bag. All baked goods should be nut-free, and gluten-free items should be labeled. Kindly drop off items between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the Advancement Office hallway, located in the basement of West Main. Please contact Christine Keith for more information.
George School Boys’ Basketball Camp. Directed by former Division 1 basketball player and current AAU coach Ralph Flowers, the George School Boys’ Basketball Camp is designed to teach the fundamentals and strategies of basketball. The camp is open to boys ages 9-16 and will run from June 24-28, 2019. Learn more and register today!
