BroadwayCon is a three-day fan convention for the Broadway and theater community held in New York City. The convention was started in 2016 by the original members of the cast of RENT. It has since become an annual meeting for directors, producers, actors, musicians, dancers, and more to attend panels and workshops, meet cast members, and share their appreciation for theater.

Eight Student Athletes Commit to College Athletics Programs

George School has kicked off the Great Green Give, a massive fundraising challenge culminating on Friday, February 8, 2019. This year, Trustee Brian Wise ’93 has challenged the George School community to generate gifts from 900 donors by 11:59 p.m. EST on February 8, in order to unlock his $50,000 gift to the School.
The George School Community is mourning the loss of Samuel (Sam) Snipes. He passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018. He was 99.
George School varsity girls’ basketball defeated The Hun School 45-38 at their first home game of the season on Tuesday, December 18, 2018.
The Alumni Office recently held two alumni gatherings to celebrate the holidays in New York and Philadelphia. “Both events had great energy and excitement,” said Elizabeth Schwartz, director of alumni and parent engagement.
The George School Board of Trustees announced its third Green Initiative Contest for students. The contest invites students to submit proposals for an environmental stewardship project with an estimated budget of up to $50,000.
The George School varsity wrestling team defeated Solebury School 39-22 at their first home game of the season on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. The team scored seven head-to-head matches.
The student film, Agents of Change, capped off a successful student film awards season with second place in the documentary category at the WHYY 2018 Youth Media Award film festival on November 10, 2018.
The Bucks County Courier Times recently named George School students to the fall 2018 Golden Teams, which recognize outstanding high school athletes.
