May – Tentative course lists available. Information about skills assessments and course selection will be sent to parents and students in early May. Students will complete skills assessments online in the second half of May.
Monday, July 1, 2019 – Proof of health insurance due.
Thursday, August 1, 2019 – All health forms due. Physical exams should be scheduled after March 1 and the forms submitted by August 1.
Thursday, August 1, 2019 – Community Directory photo due. New students must provide a photograph for their ID card and the Community Directory. Submit photos via the parent section of our secure portal and follow the guidelines for type of photo needed. If we do not receive your photo by August 1, your ID card (which is used for the bookstore as well as the library) may not be ready when you arrive for New Student Orientation, so do it as soon as possible.
Thursday, August 1, 2019 – Purchase textbooks online. Textbooks for the 2019–2020 school year will be available for purchase through George School’s textbook buying system beginning on August 1. Students must purchase most of their textbooks prior to the start of the school year. Visit the parent portal for more information on purchasing textbooks.
Monday, August 19 through Friday, August 30, 2019 – Preseason Athletic Camps. Preseason is by invitation only. See a detailed schedule for preseason.
Sunday, August 25, 2019 – Prefect and International Student Mentor registration.
Tuesday, August 27 through Sunday, September 1, 2019 – New Student Orientation. All new students are expected to be here. See a detailed schedule for the weekend.
Thursday, August 29, 2019 – SAGE member registration.
Saturday, August 31, 2019 – Peer Group Leader registration.
Sunday, September 1, 2019 – Returning boarding student registration.
Monday, September 2, 2019 – Returning day student registration.
Monday, September 2, 2019 (Labor Day) – Classes begin. Students have a variety of obligations, including classes, sports try-outs, and picking up pre-ordered books and other supplies at the school store.
