Girls' Soccer Preseason Schedule 2019

What to Bring

In addition to the items listed on the Preseason Athletic Camp packing list, please bring:

  • A soccer ball
  • Shin guards (You will not be able to practice without them!)
  • Soccer shoes (Two pair if possible; one older pair already broken in for blister prevention and one new pair to slowly break in for the season. The ground will be hard so you may wish to consider turf shoes. Plan ahead! If you think you will need new shoes before the season is over, get them now so you will be able to break them in slowly during preseason.)
  • Shoes without cleats (for playing soccer indoors)
  • Soccer socks (for your shin guards)
  • Bag (You will need to pack enough gear to last the entire day, which consists of three sessions plus swimming.)
  • Great Attitude!—Be ready to do what’s best for the team and to support all your teammates.
Tentative Daily Schedule

Athletes are expected to eat all meals in the dining hall. Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 8:15 a.m. Lunch is served from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and dinner is served from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Monday, August 19
8:30 to 10:00 am – Check-in (Marshall Center)
10:00 to 11:30 am – Preseason introduction (FAC 181 or 182)
11:05 a.m. to 11:40 p.m. – ImPACT testing (Science Building 101)
12:15 to 1:30 p.m. – Lunch
1:15 to 2:00 p.m. – Warm-up (FAC)
2:00 to 2:30 p.m. – Strength training (FAC, Fitness Center)
3:00 to 5:00 p.m. – Afternoon session (Track (mile) and then Field)
5:00 to 6:00 p.m. – Dinner
6:30 to 6:45 p.m. – Welcome meeting with Kurt Ruch (FAC)
7:00 to 8:00 p.m. – Evening session (Field)

The soccer schedule for the second week of camp will be altered slightly from the first week because of faculty obligations
