Important Summer Dates

Please mark these dates on your calendar today.

May – Tentative course lists available. Information about skills assessments and course selection will be sent to parents and students in early May. Students will complete skills assessments online in the second half of May.

Sunday, July 1, 2018 – Proof of health insurance due.

Wednesday, August 1, 2018 – All health forms due. Physical exams should be scheduled after March 1 and the forms submitted by August 1.

Wednesday, August 1, 2018 – Community Directory photo due. New students must provide a photograph for their ID card and the Community Directory. Submit photos via the parent section of our secure portal and follow the guidelines for type of photo needed. If we do not receive your photo by August 1, your ID card (which is used for the bookstore as well as the library) may not be ready when you arrive for Opening Days Weekend, so do it as soon as possible.

Wednesday, August 1, 2018 – Purchase textbooks online. Textbooks for the 2018–2019 school year will be available for purchase through George School’s textbook buying system. Students must purchase most of their textbooks prior to the start of the school year. Visit the parent portal to purchase textbooks.

Saturday, September 1, and Sunday, September 2, 2018 – Opening Days Weekend. All new students are expected to be here. A detailed schedule for the weekend will be available in early August.

Monday, September 3, 2018 (Labor Day) – Classes begin at 9:00 a.m. Students have a variety of obligations, including classes, sports try-outs, and picking up pre-ordered books and other school supplies at the campus store.
