Visiting Day and Conference Night October 2019

Welcome Parents!

To help parents better understand their child’s experience at George School, they are invited to Parents Visiting Day on Saturday, October 19. In the morning, parents are invited to attend fifteen-minute versions of each of their child’s classes, where they can hear about the course and meet the teacher, and then join Head of School Sam Houser for his address in the Walton Center auditorium. In the afternoon, informational sessions include College Counseling Office workshops as well as sessions about service learning programs.

Parents Visiting Day actually begins the evening before, with a buffet dinner from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at La Stalla in Newtown. Hosted by the George School Parents Association, the dinner is a great opportunity for parents to meet and get to know one another. Also on Friday, October 18, Class of 2020 parents are invited to the College Counseling Office’s popular FAFSA Completion Workshop with a financial aid expert. The workshop will be held in the Anderson Library Conference Room at 4:00 pm.

Parents Conferences

Should you have a particular concern, you may meet individually with teachers by scheduling conferences on Parents Visiting Day (Saturday, October 19, 2019) or Conference Night (Tuesday, October 22, 2019). Online conference scheduling will open on Wednesday October 2, 2019.   Conference scheduling closes on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 for Visiting Day and on Thursday, October 17, 2019 for Conference Night.
