All instrumental ensembles and senior soloists will host their final performance of the year on Sunday, April 29, 2018 in the meetinghouse. The orchestra will perform music from Pirates of the Caribbean.
The concert will be the final one for longtime director, Karen Hallowell, who will be retiring in June. “It will be hard to say farewell to the George School Orchestra after seventeen years of making music with students and colleagues,” said Karen. “I have loved every minute of my musical adventure and have deeply appreciated the support of the GS community as the program has grown over the years. Hans Zimmer’s score Pirates of the Caribbean has been a favorite of mine, so I am delighted to have had the opportunity to program it for this, my final concert.”
The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
