George School student-athletes representing baseball, softball, golf, lacrosse, tennis, and track and field were honored on the Friends Schools League’s (FSL) roster of spring 2018 All-League teams.
“Being selected to the FSL All-League is always an honor as it recognizes a player’s strength of play as well as his/her exemplary sportsmanship,” said Nancy Bernardini, girls’ athletic director.
Annie Borovskiy ’20, Caitlyn Mihalik ’20, and Mackenzie Sheehan ’19 were named to the FSL softball All-League Team. Lexi Alloway ’21 was recognized with an honorable mention. The girls’ varsity softball team ended their 13-2 season this spring by winning the FSL Championship title.
Natasha Kiel ’21 was named to the All-League Team for golf. Rex Trice ’18 was recognized with an honorable mention. Natasha placed first in the 2018 FSL Golf Championship with a score of 71—the first time in league history that a female has placed first in the golf championship tournament.
Kenneth Rodriguez ’19 was named to the All-League Team for baseball and Joe Kumar ’20 received an honorable mention.
Eva Kinnel ’20, Alexandra Long ’20, and Emily Matson ’20 were named to the All-League Team for girls’ lacrosse, and Sara Matson ’20 received an honorable mention. They were also mentioned in the Bucks County Courier Times. In boys’ lacrosse, Andrew Arth ’19 received an honorable mention.
Praveen Rodrigo ’20 was named to the FSL tennis All-League Team and Sartaj Gill ’18 received an honorable mention.
Chris Chan ’19, Jeffrey Love ’19, and David Osei-Tutu ’20 were named to the All-League team for boys’ track and field. Amerley Lokko ’19 was named to the girls’ team. Both track and field teams placed third this season.
“We are so proud of all of these student-athletes who have made their respective teams and congratulate all of the athletes who have helped to make this an excellent spring season for George School athletics,” said Nancy.
Senior Athletic Director Mike Bailey was thrilled at the success of all the teams this season. “This being my first year at George School, it has been a rewarding experience. We have had a great spring season for the Friends Schools League,” said Mike. “It is nice to see the excitement on campus, and we have a great group of student athletes coming back with some outstanding incoming freshman. It was a good season!”
