Living and learning at George School is an unforgettable experience.

Students create a home here at George School on their very own 240-acre classroom and playground. With students from all across the world, students learn and grow alongside each other, sharing their traditions and culture, and creating their own together.

The best part of being a boarder? The friendships. There’s something about brushing your teeth side-by-side at midnight or studying together that forges unbreakable bonds. We’ve cried over bad test grades, celebrated tiny victories (like not burning toast), and laughed until we cried over inside jokes no one else would understand.”

Working at a boarding school is more than a job — it’s a lifestyle choice. And it’s not one that dorm parent Ioanna Bailey ever thought would be for her. “We are both passionate people,” her husband Mike Bailey explained. “My background is in competitive athletics; Ioanna is a nurturer. We show our care and love in different ways.”

Apart from love, the notion of home — what it means, how it shapes us — is probably the most evocative. 

Triplets Mira, Laith and Majd Abu Tahoun ’26 have, at times, called Tunisia, Jordan and Saudi Arabia home. For the past three years and counting, George School has been their home away from home.
