Students Showcase Artwork at Phillips’ Mill Youth Art Exhibition

Seven George School students have been selected to exhibit their artwork at the 2023 Youth Art Exhibition at Phillips’ Mill in New Hope, PA. Britney Thompson ’25 won first prize in 3-D for her piece, “Untitled.” Derek Denoon ’23, Shaela Joseph ’24, Hana Oh ’24, Elliot Petrosky ’23, Marium Sajjad ’25, and Allen Yiu ’23 are also featured in the exhibition.

Head of the Arts Department Maureen West wrote in an email to the selected students: “Congratulations to each of you on this wonderful recognition! The school, Arts Department, and I are all very proud of you. The time and commitment you have made to follow your passions and express your artistic voices are admirable. Please feel as pleased with your accomplishments as we are of you!”

The Phillips’ Mill Youth Art Exhibition began in 2014 with nine schools participating. It has since grown to include 22 participating schools. George School has participated since its inception. The exhibition is open in-person January 29 – February 19 (on weekends) and is free to the public. It is also available online. Learn more here.
