Tax Advantage Giving to George School through Your IRA

If you are at least 70 ½ years old and subject to a minimum distribution requirement from your qualified retirement plan, there is recent legislation that allows Americans to make gifts from individual retirement accounts (IRAs) to non-profit organizations such as George School.

Distributions directed to George School will not be subject to federal taxes and you may contribute an amount beyond your required minimum distribution, which at this time is up to $100,000.

A qualified charitable distribution must be made directly from the custodian of your IRA to George School.

Please inform your IRA administrator to request a Qualified Charitable Distribution from your IRA to George School. IRA rollover gifts should be made payable to George School and mailed to:
