Tour Chicago Parks with Ernie Wong ’77

On Saturday, April 27, 2019, join fellow George School alumni, parents, and friends on a guided tour of Chicago parks with landscape architect Ernie Wong ’77. Ernie is the Founder and Principal of Site Design Group, Ltd., an award-winning landscape architecture, urban design, and architecture firm.

With Site Design Group, Ltd., Ernie has designed numerous innovative and beloved parks throughout Chicago, including the acclaimed Henry Palmisano Park, Mary Bartelme Park, and Ping Tom Memorial Park. Ernie’s projects transform the urban landscape while providing neighborhoods with unique spaces to meet communities’ needs.

Ernie will lead a tour of his projects in Chicago, including stops at the Field Museum Native Landscape ExhibitPalmisano Park in the Bridgeport neighborhood, Ping Tom Memorial Park, and 31st Street Harbor.

Tickets are $25 and must be purchased in advance. The cost includes transportation and lunch at Niu B. The tour begins at 11:30 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. at Site Design Group, Ltd., located at 888 S. Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.
