Varsity Boys’ Basketball Wins Three

The varsity boys’ basketball team notched three early season wins, defeating Delaware Valley Friends School 65-23, Princeton Day School 69-59, and Cross Christian Academy 65-45.

Charlie Trey-Masters ’19 connected on seven three-pointers and Max Malavsky ’18 added three more three-pointers to lead GS to its first win of the season against Delaware Valley Friends School on Tuesday December 5, 2017. Also scoring for George School were: Mav Vaughn ’19 (2), Asher Edwards ’18 (2), Darrell Edwards ’18 (4), Masai Olowokere ’19 (6), Ryan Oster ’19 (2), Nazim Pierre ’20 (6), Randall Chang ’18 (4), and Nick Palladino ’19 (5).

On Friday night December 8, 2017, the George School varsity boys’ basketball team defeated Princeton Day School 69-59 at PDS. Masai led GS with nineteen points, fourteen rebounds, and three blocked shots. Max shot 3-5 from beyond the 3pt arc and finished with fourteen points and six rebounds. Nazim shot 5-7 from the field and pulled down twelve rebounds, finishing with fourteen points. Darrell did a great job in the game with nine rebounds and eight points. Charlie contributed five assists and eight points and Asher added six points.

George School beat a previously undefeated Cross Christian Academy team on Saturday afternoon by the score of 65-45. George School continued to improve on both ends of the court, especially on the defensive end. Masai led the Cougars with a total of nineteen points followed by Darrell with fifteen.
