Varsity Field Hockey Scores Seventh Shutout

George School played the Bristol High School field hockey team on Friday, October 5, 2018, scoring a 5-0 win.

Eva Kinnel ’20 scored two goals in the first half, and Mallory Fritsch ’19, Sanaa Hebron ’22, and Izzy Robinson-Cloete ’20 also scored. Goalie Vanessa Baker ’19 had one save in the game, and the defense secured another shutout—the team’s seventh of the season.

“Our next game is another Friends Schools League contest at Shipley School in Tuesday, October 9 at 4:00 p.m.,” said Nancy Bernardini, head coach. “This will be a very important game against a team that won the FSL championship last year.

The senior game is planned for Friday, October 19 after a home game against Germantown Friends School. The seniors on the team this year will be honored, and include Mallory Fritsch ’19, Matisse VanGeem ’19, Camille Drury ’19, Vanessa Baker ’19, and Lea Jensen ’19.
