Varsity Girls’ Basketball Defeats Morrisville 41-20

The varsity girls’ basketball team defeated Morrisville High School, 41-20 during their first road game of the year on Saturday, January 6, 2018.

The Bucks County Courier Times highlighted the strong performance of freshmen team members Kaliyah Myricks ’21 and Lauren Hanna ’21, and sophomore Alexandra Long ’20 during the game.

“Freshman Kaliyah Myricks finished with sixteen points and eighteen rebounds as George School improved to 6-1 on the season,” reported the paper.

“Freshman Lauren Hanna finished with twelve points, while sophomore Alexandra Long had six blocks, eight assists, and six rebounds.”

Also scoring for the Cougars were Courtney Heffelfinger ’19, Claryn Troup ’19, and Jennifer McArthur ’19.

The team will play Friends Select School at George School on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in an important league match up.
