Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse Named Team to Watch

The George School varsity girls’ lacrosse team was recently previewed in the Bucks County Courier Times, and named one of the five teams to watch this spring.

The paper identified several key team members on the team including: Emily Matson ’20 (M/A); Alexandra Long ’20 (M/A); Eva Kinnel ’20 (M/A); Sara Matson ’20 (A); Camille Drury ’19 (A); Miranda Buczek ’19 (A); Kate Klaver ’18 (A); Tali Schnitzer ’18 (A); Cynthia Menna ’18 (D); Ashley Silver ’18 (D); Nora Greer ’19 (D); Lea Jensen ’19 (D); Emma Schneider ’19 (G); and Susie Mott ’18 (G).

“The Cougars won the Quaker Cup last season and are primed to make this the year they reach the Friends League tournament,” reported the paper. “They played winter league again, so they are ready to fight hard and play to win.”

Both Alexandra and Emily were also named players to watch this season.

The first game of the spring season will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at George School against Perkiomen School.
