Almost twenty students arrived on campus Monday, August 21 to participate in the preseason program for candidates for the George School varsity girls’ soccer team. The coaches organized a combination of on and off the field training that allowed the students to work on the tactical and physical aspects of the game, while gaining valuable team cohesiveness through off-field activities and leadership sessions.

Varsity Girls’ Soccer Coach John Stevens ’02, who has returned after a two-year hiatus, is looking to make the Friends Schools League playoffs this year.

“I’m excited,” John told the Bucks County Courier Times. “It’s a great group. I think we’ll have good leadership from the returning players.”

The paper identified several key players for the team including Nora Greer ’19 (G), Cynthia Menna ’18 (D), Jules Caplin ’18 (D), and Alexandra Long ’20 (MF).
