The George School varsity girls’ and boys’ track teams were recently previewed in the Bucks County Courier Times.
The paper identified several key team members on the girls’ team for the upcoming season including Damara Lowery ’18 (hurdles/jumps), Amerley Lokko ’19 (sprints), and Susanne Kowalska ’21 (hurdles/jumps).
“We’ve had a great turnout from our freshmen class,” said varsity head coach Mike Toomey. “We will have a lot of quality kids qualify for our league and state championships, so the coaching staff is very excited about the future.”
The paper also identified several key team members on the boys’ team for the upcoming season including Jeffrey Love ’19 (middle distance/distance), Chris Chan ’19 (sprints/jumps), Miles Pinnock ’19 (sprints), Isaac Lee ’19 (jumps/hurdles), and Ryan Bencivengo ’21 (distance/jumps).
Jeffrey qualified for the New Balance Indoor Nationals Meet in the 3,000 meter at the New York Armory earlier this March.
“He ran a great race for his first time, and his seed time of 8:52 made him one of the fastest PA entries,” said Mike.
The first track meet of the spring season will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School for the PA Track Classic.
