Take a Deep Dive into George School at the Fall Open House

Welcome Friends! Our Fall Open House is scheduled for Sunday, October 24 and I hope you can join me and the rest of our Admission team at 1:30 p.m. EDT. This is the perfect opportunity to take a deep dive into what George School has to offer.

Our Fall Open House is virtual this year to ensure the safety of all participants. Unfortunately, there are still health concerns with our global pandemic, so we wanted to make sure we effectively reach prospective families across the globe from the comfort of their homes.

Designed to give prospective families a look at George School from an insider viewpoint, our goal is to make sure parents and students can see if George School is the right fit for them. Each information session is balanced with students sharing their experiences and department representatives providing a detailed look at their academic programs.

The program features a series of panels including a curriculum overview and information about our International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, and STEAM programs, and a more detailed look at our arts and athletics programs. Additional panels focus on the College Counseling program and the admission and financial aid process.

One of the highlights of Open House is a student panel discussion at the end the program so that both prospective students and parents can ask any unanswered questions they may have.

“The open house brought to life for us, what a warm, inclusive environment George School creates while challenging and supporting students to become the very best version of themselves,” Michelle Kramer P’25 told me about the virtual Fall Open House last year. Her daughter Ayla agreed about the value of her experience, “The program helped me imagine myself going here.”

If you haven’t already, please register for Fall Open House. Then, sign up for a personalized campus tour and an interview. This is a chance for your family to visit our campus in person and meet with a member of our admission team to have a conversation about George School, your student’s interests, and answer any other questions you may have.

Finally, keep in mind the deadline to apply for financial aid is January 15, 2022, and the application deadline is February 1, 2022.

Jordan is a dorm parent in Upper Drayton where he mentors, assists, and bonds with students. He is also an assistant football coach and finds it truly rewarding to give back and teach his favorite sport that has been extremely great to him.
