Will Carson ’20 was awarded a $2,500 National Merit Scholarship by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. He was among 2,500 seniors across the country to win the scholarships. Will plans to attend the University of Chicago.
They were picked from among 15,000 finalists who were chosen based on their scores in the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test taken by 1.5 million juniors in 2018-19. From the pool of finalists, scholarship winners were then chosen based on their overall academic record, difficulty level of subjects studied, contributions and leadership in school and community activities, an essay and recommendations from high school officials.
FRIDAY: 
FRIDAY: Cougar-Moose Kickback (try to wear green, Westtown will wear blue). After the BBQ dinner, come to Hallowell Porch at 7:30 p.m. for a dance featuring DJ Headrush. The dance will have Capri-Suns, popcorn, cotton candy, cookies, and spike ball. The dance ends at 10:00 p.m.
SATURDAY: Carnival from 12:00-5:00 p.m. on South Lawn with outdoor sports, class competitions, water slide, and more. Starting at 12:30 p.m., Student DJ Ziza will be on Admission Porch while students enjoy spike ball and volleyball nets, and finish the day with a water balloon and color powder fight. Wear a shirt that you don’t mind getting messy! The Rita’s Water Ice Truck will be here from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
SATURDAY: Bonfire and s’mores from 7:00-9:30 p.m. for all students in the woods at the outdoor fireplace along the XC trail, and from 9:30-10:45 p.m. for seniors only. Faculty member Pete Holland will be performing and singing!
SATURDAY: Our last 
SUNDAY: Brunch in the Walton tent outside. Affinity Alliance Day programming from 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
