Senior Meetings. During the first two weeks of September seniors must schedule an individual meeting with their college counselor to discuss their individual application process.
Senior Night with College Counseling. On Thursday, September 6, seniors and their parents should attend The Application Process: The Trends and What to Expect. The College Counseling team will present the latest information on college trends, discuss the various ways to apply, and share what we are learning from our college colleagues. We will be joined by Greg Moyer, director of admissions recruitment, Dickinson College. This program will also be recorded and posted on our website for parents who are unable to attend.
College Representatives on Campus. Representatives from more than 200 colleges and universities are meeting on campus with seniors through November 2. You can find the schedule of college visits on Naviance. Students must submit a blue college visit form to the attendance office two full days before the visit to be excused from classes. Note: Juniors are welcome to attend the sessions if they have no other obligations at that time.
Filing for Financial Aid. Families can begin filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and College Scholarship Service (CSS) Profile on October 1. For more information, watch this YouTube video.
College Counseling Seminar for Seniors. Seniors will attend a seminar in late September/early October. Dates to be announced.
Junior Class Meets with College Counseling. On Friday, September 28, College Counseling will meet with juniors to prepare them for the testing phase of the college process.
PSAT for Juniors and Sophomores. All juniors and sophomores will take the PSAT on Wednesday, October 10.
Sophomore Class. College Counseling will meet with the sophomore class in December. Date to be determined.
