Senior Night with College Counseling (Virtual): On Thursday, September 2, at 7:00 p.m., College Counseling will host our annual senior night program. The College Counseling team will discuss the application process, timeline, and expectations. We will be joined by Evelyn Thimba, Senior Vice President, Enrollment Management at Drexel University. This program is required for seniors. Parents/guardians of seniors are strongly encouraged to attend the session; it will be recorded for those who cannot be present.

Senior Meetings: By Friday, September 17, seniors must schedule an individual meeting with their college counselor to discuss their application process. These meetings continue throughout senior year.

College Representative Visits: Representatives from dozens of colleges and universities will meet with seniors this fall, both virtually and in person. Juniors are welcome to attend the sessions if they have no other obligations at that time. More information is forthcoming.

Financial Aid: College Counseling will host a virtual Financial Aid 101 program on Thursday, September 9, at 6:30 p.m.; link to follow. On Wednesday, October 27 at 7:00 p.m., College Counseling will be joined by Fran McKeown, PHEAA Higher Education Access Partner, for a virtual FAFSA Q&A; link to follow. All seniors and families planning to apply for financial aid are encouraged to attend both programs. Seniors and families should begin completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and College Scholarship Service (CSS) Profile on October 1. Junior Class Meeting with College Counseling: On Friday, September 24, College Counseling will meet with juniors during Assembly to prepare them for the testing phase of the college process.

Sophomore Class Meeting with College Counseling: College Counseling will meet with the sophomore class during Assembly on Friday, September 24.

PSAT for Sophomores and Juniors: All sophomores and juniors will take the PSAT at George School on Wednesday, October 13. College Counseling will register students automatically.
