Transportation

See below for transportation information for day students and boarding students.

Transportation for Day Students

We understand that transportation options are an important component for families commuting to George School. Here are the transportation options available to George School families.

Bus Transportation Provided by Pennsylvania School Districts

Several local school districts provide bus transportation for George School day students. Students will be picked up from their local bus stop and dropped off at their home high school. Once all George School students have arrived to that home high school, they will board another bus to be taken to George School’s campus. At the end of the day, students will be picked up from George School at 5:45 p.m. from the Fitness and Athletic Center parking lot. This allows time for afternoon activities. They are then dropped off at their local bus stops.

Families are required to contact their local school districts to arrange bus transportation and will be asked to provide proof of residence. Families that know they will be using bus transportation are encouraged to reach out to their school districts as soon as possible so we can file paperwork accordingly for the 2023-2024 school year. If you need further assistance, please email Kim Bryant in the Deans’ Office or call 215.579.6589.

New Jersey Van Service

If there is enough interest and participation to run this service, George School is pleased to offer daily transportation for students commuting from the Lawrenceville, Pennington, Princeton, Skillman, and West Windsor areas of New Jersey for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Below you will find a list of potential stops for the van service. The exact routes and pick-up and drop-off points will be determined prior to the start of the academic year based upon students’ addresses and the number of riders.

Morning pick-up times will be arranged so students will arrive in time for the start of classes at 8:15 a.m. Evening vans will depart George School at 6:30 p.m., following afternoon activities and dinner. Evening departure time is subject to change depending on the preferences of van riders in a given year.

The annual cost for van transportation for the 2023-2024 school year is $6,200 and priority was given to roundtrip riders. If space allows, one-way riders may join the van service at a cost of $4,100 per year.

Families who sign up for this service are committing to the full year’s expense. Our ability to operate this service depends on meeting a minimum number of students. We reserve the right to cancel or modify the program as needed.

For questions regarding van transportation, please email Deb Soufleris.
