Join us for George School’s 125th celebration, Embrace the World, a dinner, dance, and auction on October 20 at 6:00 p.m. Coinciding with Parent’s Visiting Day, guests will taste an array of international foods, enjoy an open bar, and see the FAC transformed into a global wonderland. Fun Facts about George School’s Newest Students
George School welcomed one hundred and fifty-eight new students to campus this month. Our newest students hail from twenty-four countries and eleven states, and speak a total of sixteen different languages. This year’s new students have a wide array of interesting and unique talents, including Irish step dancing, juggling, cricket, and horticulture. Read more.
George School Children’s Center Undergoes Renovation
For a dedicated team of workers, the summer was spent hard at work renovating the George School Children’s Center. New walls and windows were installed, office space and teaching planning areas were added, as was a key fob entrance. New flooring was placed throughout the center and kitchenettes were added to every classroom. Read more.
Varsity Field Hockey Earns Second Shutout of the Season
The varsity girls’ field hockey team clinched another win last week, beating Morrisville High School 7 to 0. Sanaa Hebron ’22 was the leading scorer with four goals, followed by Izzy Robinson-Cloete ’20 with two and Eva Kinnel ’20 with one. Assists were made by Cosi Janssen ’20, Eva, and Ada Rose Wagar ’21. Wallace and June Fong p ’18, ’22 Help Enhance Robotics Program
Robotics students at George School now have a new and unique opportunity to interact with an industrial arm, a machine that can be used in a variety of ways throughout the school year. The arm, which was donated by FDT Limited, owned by Wallace Fong p ’18, ’22, will add new opportunities and challenges to the robotics curriculum. Read more.
Cougars Take the Win in Home Opener
The varsity football team began the 2018 season with a 20 to 16 victory over Morrisville on Saturday, September 8 at George School. The Cougars were down 16 to 6 in the second half, but continued to fight for a win. Angus Ruscher ’21, playing in his first football game, came up with a huge sack. Read more.
