Register Now for the Summer Open House

George School will host a Virtual Open House for prospective students and families this summer on Thursday, July 16 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. EST. A panel of students, faculty, and members of the admission team will be live on Zoom to share information about the George School curriculum and community. There will be opportunities for attendees to ask questions about student life, academics, athletics, and many other topics to the panelists throughout the event. Resources will be available as well for families to get a glimpse of what George School is like inside and outside of the classroom.

“I am so thrilled that George School has been able to offer a series of Virtual Open Houses for our prospective students. While we—like many schools—are unable to offer on-campus visits at this time, the Virtual Open Houses give us a chance to showcase just how special George School is. We can’t wait to introduce you to some outstanding students and teachers,” said Co-Director of Admission Kim Major.

Panelists at the event will include Science Department Chair Polly Lodge, Language Department Chair Ileabeth Ayala, Math Teacher Hamilton Davis, and IB Coordinator Kim MyGlynn. Student panelists include Sarah Mayer ’21, Ben Berman ’21, Martin Gillis ’21, Sofia Ostland ’21, and Shelby Williams ’21.

“Families will have an opportunity to experience what makes George School a connected community through the eyes of current students and faculty during our virtual event,” said Co-Director of Admission Rohan Arjun.

“The benefit of the virtual event is that we can open the experience to families outside of the local area—whether you live in Pennsylvania, California, Kenya, or anywhere in between, you have a chance to participate. We can’t wait to meet you!” said Kim.

Families are also invited to take a look at George School’s Virtual Visit Center prior to the event to take a virtual tour, sign up for a virtual information session, or to learn more about the application process.

The Virtual Open House is from 7:00—8:00 p.m. EST, and registration can be completed online. We hope to see you there to hear about why families #SayYesToGS!
