Cougars Defeat Radnor 60-56

The George School varsity boys’ basketball team defeated Radnor High School 60-56 on Monday, December 30, 2019. Radnor is ranked tenth in Pennsylvania for 5A high schools.

“Jordan Miller ’20 scored 24 points, 15 in the second half as the Cougars pulled away late for the nonleague win on Monday, December 30, 2019. Nazim Pierre ’20 also had 18 points for the Cougars and Jack Vreeswyk ’20 added 11,” said The Intelligencer sports staff.

“Nazim and Jordan stepped up in the second half of the game and Jack scored a three-pointer to tie the game in the fourth quarter,” said Ben Luber, head coach. “Their efforts helped the team pull away and win the game.”

Team members came back to campus during their holiday break to practice for the game. “The coaches appreciated them all coming back for practice and to play against one of the best team in the state,” said Ben. “It is a testament to their hard work and commitment to their teammates and the George School basketball program.”

The Cougars are away for a game against The Pennington School on Wednesday, January 8, 2020.
