Francisco Correia ’20

Lisbon, PortugalUniversity of Florida
Whether in the dorms, on teams, or in small classes, Francisco appreciates the close relationships formed in the George School community.

What is it like to live in a dorm?

Before coming to George School, I had never lived with other people except my parents. Living in a dorm has shown me what it is like to live in a community with people my age. At first it was a challenge to live with my peers and to adjust to their habits, but I eventually got close to the other dorm residents.

What lessons have you learned on a team?

Swimming has been a big part of my life since third grade, and it is my favorite sport. Being on a team at George School has allowed me to achieve the swim times I wanted, and to get better at new strokes. Swimming has also helped me become closer with my peers on a new level.
