George School has kicked off the Great Green Give, a massive fundraising challenge culminating on Friday, February 8, 2019. This year, Trustee Brian Wise ’93 has challenged the George School community to generate gifts from 900 donors by 11:59 p.m. EST on February 8, in order to unlock his $50,000 gift to the School.

“The Great Green Give is the perfect opportunity for us to celebrate what we can collectively accomplish for this exceptional school,” said Head of School Sam Houser. “Last year, I was amazed to witness the outpouring of support and George School pride on campus and around the world. I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together this year for George School’s single largest giving challenge ever.”

All gifts and pledges for the Great Green Give made between now and February 8 will support the George School Fund, a yearly effort to raise unrestricted funds to support today’s students and faculty. Donors may designate their gift to the area of greatest need, arts, athletics, campus beautification, faculty support, financial aid, student life, or technology.

On the final day of the Great Green Give, students, parents, and alumni will make calls to the extended George School community encouraging them to participate in the event. If you are interested in making calls for the Great Green Give phone-a-thon effort, please contact Meg Peake ’03 at mpeake@georgeschool.org.

Show your love for George School and make a gift for the Great Green Give now through Friday, February 8. Each donation brings us one step closer to unlocking the challenge gift!
