Varsity Field Hockey Players Named to NFHCA High School National Academic Squad

Over 2,900 student-athletes from more than 280 high schools across the country have been named to the 2021 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) High School National Academic Squad.

The program recognizes high school seniors and juniors who have achieved a minimum cumulative, unweighted grade-point average of 3.50 out of 4.0 — or the equivalent — through the first quarter of the 2021-2022 school year, and were nominated by their NFHCA member coach. Seniors and juniors who have achieved a minimum cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.9 out of 4.0 — or the equivalent — through the first quarter of the 2021-2022 school year have been recognized as Scholars of Distinction.

The George School athletes named to the list are Anjali Amin ’22*, Genesis Chalmers ’22, Katie Rose Hendry ’22, Leyna Kirsh ’22, Baylee Klose ’23*, Amelia (Mimi) Noe ’23*, and Claire Roche ’22. Anjali, Baylee, and Mimi were also recognized as Scholars of Distinction.

“I am just so proud of these field hockey players,” said head coach Nancy Bernardini. “Not only do they work hard on the field, but they are outstanding students in the classroom. These student-athletes have set a fine example on and off the field, are supportive and encouraging teammates, incredible people to coach, and have given so much of themselves to George School. Congratulations!”
